Requirements:

Canada: UG courses need to have 12 completed years of schooling but for admission, the candidate needs SAT score. Degree course duration is four years and for diploma are either two or three years. For PG courses admission for vocational courses is way easy and the admission procedures are a lot more hassle-free. For management degrees candidate must appear for GMAT, and for engineering degrees candidate must give the GRE exam. No cutoff’s in Canadian college rather Colleges give average scores accepted in their websites which give an idea about the good score which will be accepted. TOEFL or IELTS scores are also required. If the visa interviewer may not grant you a visa if the spoken skills are not up to the mark for them.

Australia:  UG courses in Australia require 12 years of pre-university education everywhere, which makes it easier for International students to get admission directly to the degree of their choice in an accredited university. PG courses can be taken after finishing UG program except for engineering that takes four years. For Management course appear for GMAT and for sciences you might need GRE exam. If the candidate has no work experience, then he/she needs to enroll a graduate certificate or graduate diploma program. TOEFL or IELTS may be checked by the university but are important for the purpose of getting a visa.

Visa Process:

Canada Student Visa Process:

  • Apply post-graduation work permit within 90 days after finishing your studies
  • Compulsory medical test
  • Spouses can work if the stay is more than a year or more
  • Applicant can’t work for more than 20 hours per week
  • During holidays, breaks and summer the applicant can work for 40 hours per week

Australia Student Visa Process:

  • The visa is not provided in the form of a sticker
  • Spouse of the student can work in Australia for unlimited hours only if he/she is pursuing Ph.D. or Masters Degree
  • Student visa holders are allowed to work up to 40 hours per fortnight     during their study in Australia.

Post study work permit:

Canada:

Canadian Post Graduation Work Visa will allow the students to graduate from any post-secondary institute to work after studying for a time period depending on the extent of their course.

Australia:

A bachelor’s degree holder or a Master’s degree holder is eligible to apply for a two-year post-study work visa. Other graduates could be eligible to apply for 18 months subclass 485 visas through the graduate work stream.
