It is depending of which part of Malaysia you're visit. In Southern part of Malaysia, there have some famous theme park suitable for family, such as Legoland, Hello Kitty Town, and Angry Bird Activities Park. And also Johor Premium Outlets, it's a famous shopping mall in recent year that located in Johor Bahru.

If you wish to go the landmark above, suggest you arrival to Singapore Changi Airport or Senai Airport in Johor. You can easily to find a Limo Service from Singapore to Johor Bahru. For backpacker, also can take a public bus cross border from there. But this is not recommended to a family trip; because of you need to spend about 2 to 3 hours at the immigration. Sometime may be more, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Move up a little bit, about 239 kilometers from Singapore, it's an ancient city called Malacca. At there, you can find a lot of culture such as Baba Nyonya etc... If you reach this city, strongly recommend you must taste a local food called Nanyang Chicken Rice. You can't imagine the rice was made into a few small ball, and its unique flavor & feel, which you can't found in other places.

Capital city is Kuala Lumpur, it was a busy metropolis. Many business travelers are very fond of going there, there are often organizes exhibition, from small to large. But for most travelers, there is more like a transit point. From KL, you can go to many places like Genting Highland, Cameron Highland, Batu Caves, Twin Tower, Suria KLCC, and many more.

Keep going to Northern still have Penang; A place to gather of many local cuisines. Pulau Langkawi, a comprehensive vacation island of shopping, diving and surfing.

If you love natural enough, highly recommend you take some time travel to Sembilan Island. It is a beautiful island near the Perak, a place that you can experience the rhythm of nature. Watch the natural wonders named "Blue Tears" and "Sky Mirror".
